Terms
Paperbay is free to download from the Mac App Store, and one purchase in the app keeps it filing. This page says in ordinary words what you get.
The licence
Paperbay comes under Apple’s standard licence agreement, the one every app in the store is sold under. It also covers warranty, liability and the law that applies. Nothing on this page narrows it, and where the two disagree, Apple’s wording counts.
What it costs
The first 50 documents Paperbay files are free. After that, a one-time purchase in the app unlocks filing on every Mac with your Apple Account: $24.99 in the US, and the store shows the price for your country. Reading, suggestions and reminders stay free with or without it. There is no subscription, and Family Sharing does not apply to the purchase. Refunds run through Apple, because Apple is who sold it to you.
Updates
New versions arrive through the Mac App Store, and your Mac installs them the way it installs any other update. Nothing expires, an old version keeps running, and there is no way for me to turn off a copy from a distance.
Other services
Buying and updating go through the App Store, the Paperbay folder lives in iCloud Drive, and Apple Intelligence reads your documents on the Mac, so Apple’s terms cover those parts.
When these terms change, the date below changes with them. Questions and corrections go to support@missaq.com.
